Drama In The Wind River Range

I’m finally feeling recovered enough after my recent rotator cuff surgery to begin posting again.  Boy, does that procedure ever knock the stuffing out of me (I had the other shoulder done two years ago, so it was with a lot of dread that I went forward with this second operation, simply because recovery is so difficult and long).

This photo was taken during a morning hike in stormy conditions, with a light rain that alternated back and forth with light snow.  It’s a stunning area, and reminds me a lot of shorter version of Yosemite National Park.  The mountains may not be as tall, but the views sure are gorgeous and we were the only ones there at the time.

Great photos, Mitch. Thanks for liking my blog. I used to treat people post rotator cuff repairs, so Please Do work on all your exercises, so you regain full AROM…and Do NoT tumble down any of those hills!

Haha — you got it, and thank you for your kind words!

I’ve had the rotator cuff repair done to both shoulders now and may need to have it redone to my right shoulder, which has slowly been deteriorating over the past many months (to the point where I can no longer sleep on it). I have my 3-month follow-up with the surgeon next week for my left shoulder, and will discuss the right shoulder with him at that time as well.

This has been the winter of glum for me… too many minor and major medical procedures within a short period of time, which is a big reason I’m getting back into watercolor painting.
