Andrew Would Have Been Proud

An online discussion about the famous painter, Andrew Wyeth, with another blogger reminded me of this photo — which I figured they would appreciate seeing.

For those unfamiliar, Andrew Wyeth is considered a modern master of egg tempera, a form of painting that dates back to the early Egyptian era.  Andrew was known also for his muted color palette, isolated subjects, and rather bleak-looking compositions — all of which I thought of when I saw this image before me in a snow storm.

Thanks! That structure is no longer accessible, as the property it sits upon was sold to someone in the horse community, and lots of horse-related stuff was put up (horse fences, a huge barn, a giant indoor arena, plus all the no trespassing signs plastered all over the place now). I expect this little out-building to be torn down sometime in the near future, as it’s an eyesore for the new owner.
