Glorious Color

Spring wildflowers
Gorman, California — May 2003
Canon PowerShot G3 + 35-140mm

I was with my family in the car, with my dad driving.  We blew past this fantastic scene of blooming wildflowers at 75 mph and I said we simply had to go back so I could get some photos.  And we did!  It took awhile because that area doesn’t have many exits, but we eventually got back to the blooms and I was able to get a number of nice shots.  For me, this was a serendipitous once-in-a-lifetime event, as I have never gone back to that same area, let alone the same time of year when the blooms hit peak.
